Music Therapy

online or in person

How it works

Music therapy is a form of therapy that uses music as a main tool to promote health and well-being. It involves the use
structured form of music, including elements such as rhythm, melody and harmony, to help people improve their physical, emotional, mental and social health.
The importance of music therapy lies in the fact that music has a profound influence on our lives. It can evoke emotions, awaken memories and stimulate creativity. Through music therapy, I use music in a targeted and personalized way to meet needs.
individual needs of each person.
Music therapy has been effective in treating a variety of conditions, such as anxiety disorders, depression, stress, autism spectrum disorders, sleep disorders, chronic pain and neurodegenerative diseases, among others. It can help reduce anxiety, improve mood, promote emotional expression, increase motivation and improve quality of life.

Initial Assessment

In our first meeting, I conduct a careful assessment to understand each patient's needs, interests, and goals. This helps us customize the therapy according to their needs.

Musical Interventions

During the sessions, I use music as a therapeutic tool. This may involve musical improvisation, composition, active listening, or creating customized playlists to address the emotional and cognitive needs of the patient.

Therapeutic Planning

Based on the initial assessment, we develop an individualized therapeutic plan. This includes selecting musical instruments and specific improvisation techniques that will be used during the sessions.

Communication and Expression

Through music, we assist patients in expressing themselves non-verbally, which can be especially effective for those who have difficulties communicating verbally. Music becomes a language for sharing emotions and thoughts.

Skill Development

In addition to addressing emotional issues, music therapy can be used to develop cognitive, motor, and social skills. For example, we can work on improving concentration, motor coordination, or social interactions.

Music therapy isn't just about solving problems; it also promotes overall well-being. It provides a creative outlet for emotional expression, helps enhance self-awareness, and boosts self-esteem.
